I have over 13 years’ experience in the NHS, HMPS, private healthcare, schools, pupil referral units, accident and emergency, community mental health and secure hospitals. I have completed a BSc Hons in Psychology and Criminology at Nottingham Trent University, a MSc in Forensic Psychology at London Metropolitan University, a PGDip in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at The University of Hertfordshire and a PgD Practitioner Programme in Forensic Psychology at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

I am currently working towards becoming a Doctor of Psychology at Nottingham Trent University.

For the last five years I have  run my own private practice where I have helped individuals and couples to overcome a range of difficulties and return to living a life they once lived or wanted to live. I have also developed and delivered countless workshops to a range of clients including large corporations, wellness and yoga retreats and those seeking mental health support. I am regularly requested to work with other professionals around the world to support their learning as well as providing workshops to their clients by sharing my psychological knowledge and skills.

My skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychology have led me to supervising other qualified professionals or those on their journey to qualification. I have been invited to other academic institutions to present lectures on formulations, working with offenders and using cognitive behavioural therapy to overcome trauma, anxiety, sexual addiction and low self-esteem amongst other mental health conditions.

As well as my clinical and academic work I am often enlisted to consult with companies who want to utilise my professional, research and academic background to effectively conduct studies and analyse quantitative and qualitative data. I have also provided consultation regarding the development of psychological services and applied my knowledge to support the development of ground-breaking technology to help individuals in improving their mental wellbeing. I have an ability to communicate complex psychological ideas and concepts to wide range of audiences which is both interesting and engaging.

I have a large social media following and share my insights and knowledge to others. My most recent venture including writing and developing a range of e-books and mental wellness products. Throughout my career I remain passionate about helping individuals making changes in their life, so they are able to live the life they want or once lived. I am an advocate for ending the stigma around mental health and determined to make a positive difference in the world.

“Coming to Kelly’s workshops is always a joy, she has such a kind and friendly demeanour, she was able to discuss concepts in a way that it was understood by everyone in the room but was also able to give us skills to improve or self-confidence in a way I had never experienced before”
