Hi, I’m Dr Kelly Watkins

I believe that understanding ourselves is the first step towards meaningful change.

As a HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist, BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist with over 19 years of experience, I help people make sense of their experiences, overcome anxiety and trauma, and build lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice, combining psychological expertise with genuine curiosity and compassion. Every person’s story is different, so therapy is always tailored to your individual goals and needs.

Alongside my clinical work, I supervise and train mental health professionals across private practice, NHS services, and higher education, supporting clinicians at every stage of their careers to develop confidence, deepen their practice, and thrive professionally.

The purpose of therapy is to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and equip you with practical skills to overcome both past difficulties and present-day challenges.

With a background in Psychology and extensive training in a variety of therapeutic approaches, Kelly tailors each therapy session to your unique needs. Her aim is that, by the end of your work together, you’ll have the tools and confidence to be your own therapist.
